Giti Tire Motorsport by WS Racing fielded an all-BMW line-up during the traditional 70th running of the ADAC Westfalenfahrt, the opening round of the ADAC Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie (NLS).

Drivers Carrie Schreiner, Fabienne Wohlwend and Janina Schall, supported by an all-female team and management, set a lap time of 8:44.036 minutes, the second-fastest of the entire race in its class. However, a loss of power shortly before the finish forced the car to be retired for safety reasons.

The BMW 325i (SP4) experienced a highly successful weekend, qualifying and finishing in first place in their class. In addition, two BMW 330i cars entered the VT2-RWD class and a BMW M240i competed in the M240i Racing Cup.

All cars ran on GitiCompete GTR1 tires, part of a comprehensive range of competition models used at events around the world.

With a total of 114 cars on the starting grid and a high volume of tickets sold, this event became the second best-attended season opener on record. The next round for Giti Tire Motorsport by WS Racing in the ADAC Nürburgring Endurance Series will take place on April 26, 2025.

Stefan Brohs, Marketing Director Europe at Giti Tire, said:

“The first truly competitive race of the year is like waving the starting flag for everyone: drivers and teams put their cars and skills to the test, while we enjoy our first major in-person marketing event of the year.
The weather was changeable, but the public's enthusiasm did not wane. at any time, and our goal is to always offer them the best possible experience, in addition to bringing that incredible atmosphere into homes through our channels.

As I have said on other occasions, each race gives us valuable information about our tires. The European R&D Center in Hannover, Germany, will analyze all the data obtained to see what lessons we can apply to our everyday models. We bring the experience of the track directly to the streets.”

Giti Tire Motorsport is warming up for the 2025 British Truck Racing Championship (BTRC) season, reaffirming its position as the exclusive tire supplier and main sponsor of Team Oliver Racing.

The big news for this edition is the eagerly awaited return of Martin Gibson, director of Giti Tire's European Test Centre, who will share the track with Stuart and Martin Oliver in a three-truck lineup in distinctive Giti colors.

Gibson, who competed between 2019 and 2021, achieved great recognition with multiple podium finishes and a third place overall in his final season. After a period away from the championship to explore other opportunities in motorsport, he now returns behind the wheel of the Team Oliver Racing #101 truck.

This season marks Giti's seventh year of sponsorship of Team Oliver Racing and its fourth as the exclusive tire supplier to the championship. All race trucks are fitted with GitiCompete Race-Tuned v1 tires in size 315/70R22.5.

In addition to supplying high-performance tires, Giti will also have with a technical support team present at every event to support all teams with tyre fittings and expert advice.

The seven-round calendar kicked off at Brands Hatch on 19 and 20 April and includes highlights such as Convoy in the Park at Donington (August) and Le Mans (September).

All Giti Tire Motorsport activity in 2025 will be supported by its co-branding agreement as Sparco®'s global automotive tire partner, based on a shared philosophy focused on racing, performance, R&D and continuous safety.

Referring to his return, Martin Gibson said:

“I'm really excited to be returning to Team Oliver Racing. I've competed in many different championships, but nothing compares to the excitement of British Truck Racing.

Everything we learn in racing goes directly to our truck and bus tire ranges. Being able to push them to the limit and provide direct feedback is an incredible opportunity.”

For his part, Stefan Brohs, Marketing Director for Europe at Giti Tire, added:

“Consistency is key to our marketing programs and our long-term partnerships with Team Oliver Racing and the BTRC have been very beneficial to our operations in the truck and bus segment.
We have excellent interaction with fleet owners, drivers and enthusiasts at every event, and our customers always tell us how happy they are with the experience, both on the track and on the road.
2025 is set to be a special year with Martin returning to the wheel of the #101, something that will no doubt be reflected in the extensive coverage we will receive on television, social media and in the press.”

In its firm commitment to offering an increasingly efficient, rapid and tailored service to the needs of its customers, Tiresur, one of the main tire distributors in the Iberian Peninsula, announces the expansion of its logistics service in northern Spain through the implementation of a triple delivery service.

This new logistics model will optimize delivery times and improve product availability in a strategic area for the company, thus consolidating its position as a leader in the tire distribution sector. Thanks to this expansion, professional workshops in the northern region will have greater facilities for managing urgent orders, as well as more agile and flexible logistics, adapted to the reality of their daily operations.

This improvement is accompanied by the consolidation of the Tiresur warehouse in Burgos, inaugurated a year ago, which has become a fundamental pillar for supplying the northern peninsula. With a strategic location and remarkable performance since its opening, this center has facilitated the growth of the company's logistics network, allowing for greater capillarity in the service and closer, more efficient attention to the workshops.

“Our objective is clear: to be increasingly closer to the customer, anticipate their needs and offer high added-value logistics solutions. With this triple delivery service in the north, we are taking a further step in that direction," highlights Paco García, general manager of Tiresur.

This move reaffirms Tiresur's strategy of continuing to invest in infrastructure, technology and logistics network, key elements to remain a reliable and efficient partner for professional workshops.
