Giti Tire Motorsport by WS Racing presents a 100% BMW lineup at the season opener at the Nürburgring
Giti Tire Motorsport by WS Racing fielded an all-BMW line-up during the traditional 70th running of the ADAC Westfalenfahrt, the opening round of the ADAC Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie (NLS).
Drivers Carrie Schreiner, Fabienne Wohlwend and Janina Schall, supported by an all-female team and management, set a lap time of 8:44.036 minutes, the second-fastest of the entire race in its class. However, a loss of power shortly before the finish forced the car to be retired for safety reasons.
The BMW 325i (SP4) experienced a highly successful weekend, qualifying and finishing in first place in their class. In addition, two BMW 330i cars entered the VT2-RWD class and a BMW M240i competed in the M240i Racing Cup.
All cars ran on GitiCompete GTR1 tires, part of a comprehensive range of competition models used at events around the world.
With a total of 114 cars on the starting grid and a high volume of tickets sold, this event became the second best-attended season opener on record. The next round for Giti Tire Motorsport by WS Racing in the ADAC Nürburgring Endurance Series will take place on April 26, 2025.
Stefan Brohs, Marketing Director Europe at Giti Tire, said:
“The first truly competitive race of the year is like waving the starting flag for everyone: drivers and teams put their cars and skills to the test, while we enjoy our first major in-person marketing event of the year.
The weather was changeable, but the public's enthusiasm did not wane. at any time, and our goal is to always offer them the best possible experience, in addition to bringing that incredible atmosphere into homes through our channels.
As I have said on other occasions, each race gives us valuable information about our tires. The European R&D Center in Hannover, Germany, will analyze all the data obtained to see what lessons we can apply to our everyday models. We bring the experience of the track directly to the streets.”
